Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri is one of the dynamic leaders who joined ADNEC Group when it was founded in 2005, after a 10-year career with leading governmental and non-governmental entities in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Since then he has played a significant role in raising ADNEC’s profile as leading event venue at regional and international levels, and he has played an integral role in defining ADNEC’s revised corporate strategy and company vision. Prior to his appointment as ADNEC’s Group Chief Executive Officer, Humaid held several senior positions at ADNEC including the role as Chief Commercial Officer where he significantly contributed to ADNEC’s development into one of Abu Dhabi’s most dynamic organisations. He also occupies a number of other senior positions including being a Member of the Board of Directors of Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority, ExCeL London, the National Conferences and Exhibitions Committee, and Al Ain Club Investment Company. Humaid holds a Masters in Strategy and National Security Studies from the National Defense College in Abu Dhabi, International Accounting and Financial Management from the University Of Glasgow in the UK, and Bachelor of Accounting from the United Arab Emirates University.
Khalifa Al Qubaisi is the Chief Commercial Officer of ADNEC Centre and the former Chairperson of the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA). Al Qubaisi was the first ever Emirati to become ICCA Middle East chapter’s Chairperson since ICCA’s inception in 1963. Prior to his appointment as ADNEC Centre’s Chief Commercial Officer, Al Qubaisi served as the Head of Sales - Congresses & Conferences. Since joining ADNEC in October 2011, Al Qubaisi has led the company on an impressive growth trajectory by pursuing a strategy focused on attracting major international conferences to ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi and diversifying the company’s event portfolio. His focussed strategy helped ADNEC Centre drive sales to record levels and win the rights to host many high profile international events for the first time in the Middle East. As Head of Sales - Congresses & Conferences, Al Qubaisi leveraged his global expertise in the MICE sector to convince major international associations to hold their conferences and events at ADNEC. Khalifa Al Qubaisi holds a bachelor's degree in management information systems from Drexel University, Pennsylvania, US.
Saeed Al Shamsi oversees the consistent implementation of international best practice in ADNEC’s human resource management. He is directly responsible for implementing successful human capital management for the hundreds of employees across the company. Saeed is one of the forefront experts on human resource management strategies in the emirate of Abu Dhabi. Saeed holds a Master’s in Strategy and National Security Studies from the National Defence College in Abu Dhabi, alongside a Bachelor’s of Science in Marketing from Suffolk University, Boston in United States of America.
Ahmed Al Obaidli joined ADNEC in 2010 and has significant experience managing operations, strategy and championing innovation. Ahmed’s passion for learning and developing people have enabled him to improve the operations division in ADNEC, which has seen increased revenue and growth for the company. Ahmed is not only responsible for ADNEC operations, he also champions excellence within ADNEC as well as leading our sustainability efforts across the company. Ahmed is a graduate of Bachelor of Political Science and has completed Exhibition Management Degree.
